Step by step guide
1Before you applyCheck your passport and fix your dates
Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after the day you arrive. Decide the date you will enter Vietnam and the airport, land border or seaport you will arrive at - the visa's start and end dates are fixed from that date and cannot be moved later.
If you will leave Vietnam and come back, you need a multiple-entry visa. Single or multiple entry?
2Gather your documents5 things to have ready
- Passport valid for at least 6 months after the day you arrive
- A clear photo or scan of your passport's photo page
- A recent passport-style photo: white background, no glasses
- Your arrival date, entry port and first address in Vietnam
- Name and address of the company you are visiting in Vietnam
That is all we need from you. Photo and passport scan rules

What is the multiple-entry business e-visa?
It is Vietnam's electronic visa, issued for a business purpose, that lets you enter and leave as often as you need for up to 90 days. You apply online and it arrives by email as a PDF. It is the visa for anyone covering Vietnam as part of a wider regional trip.
Who it suits
- Regional sales and sourcing trips - Ho Chi Minh City this week, Bangkok next, back to Hanoi after that
- Project teams flying in for a few days at a time over a quarter
- Buyers returning for sampling, inspection and sign-off at a factory
- Trade-fair season, when several events fall within a few months
If you will enter Vietnam once and leave once, the single-entry business e-visa costs less.
What it covers
Business visits: meetings, negotiations, site and factory visits, conferences and trade fairs. It does not allow employment in Vietnam, and it does not run beyond 90 days. For a longer assignment or a job with a Vietnamese employer, a sponsored visa and a work permit are needed.
Requirements
- A passport valid for at least six months after your first arrival
- A clear scan of the passport photo page, including the two code lines
- A recent portrait photo on a white background, without glasses
- Your first entry date, arrival port and first address in Vietnam
- The name and address of the company you are visiting
How the dates work
The visa has a fixed start and end date, set from the first entry date you give. Every trip in between is covered. Leaving and returning does not extend it, so if your project will run past the end date, apply for a fresh e-visa from outside Vietnam before your next trip.
Cost and processing
The Vietnamese government charges US$50 for a multiple-entry e-visa against US$25 for single entry, and that is the difference between our two business prices. Processing takes the same time for both; Express and Urgent options are offered when you apply.
