How to apply for a Vietnam visa online
From choosing a visa to walking through passport control, here is every step, who does it, and how long it takes. No jargon.
Step by step guide
1Choose your e-visaYou · 1 minute
Pick single or multiple entry and how fast you need it. The price updates as you choose and already includes the government fee. If your passport can enter visa-free, we tell you before you pay for something you may not need.
2Upload two documentsYou · 3 minutes
Your passport's photo page and a passport-style photo on a white background. Our scanner reads the passport details so you are checking them, not typing them. You also give your arrival date, the airport or border you will enter through, and your first address in Vietnam.
3Pay securelyYou · 1 minute
One card payment through Stripe, shown in your own currency. Nothing is added at checkout, and nothing more is paid at the airport.
4We check the fileOur team · Before lodging
A person checks every document against what Vietnam's immigration system accepts: the photo's background, the code lines on the passport scan, the order of your names, the dates. If something won't pass, we message you on WhatsApp before anything is lodged.
5Lodged with Vietnam ImmigrationOur team · As soon as it passes our check
Only once the file is complete and correct. We lodge it on the government e-visa system, pay the government fee, and watch the status - the official portal does not email applicants when it wants something changed.
6Approved and emailed to youVietnam Immigration · By the time quoted for your speed
Your e-visa arrives as a PDF. Check the name, passport number and dates against your passport, save it to your phone, and print a copy for check-in and the border. If it is late or refused, you get a full refund of everything you paid us.
7Before you land: the pre-arrival formYou · Within 3 days of arrival
Vietnam now asks arriving foreigners to submit their details online and show a QR code at passport control. It is free and separate from the visa. Do it on the immigration department's own website once your e-visa has been issued.
