Whether you need a visa for Vietnam depends on your passport. Citizens of 0 countries can enter visa-free for between Infinity and -Infinity days. Everyone else needs a visa, and since August 2023 every nationality can get the 90-day e-visa online.
Countries that need an e-visa
These passports need a visa to enter Vietnam. The e-visa is issued online for up to 90 days, single or multiple entry, and is accepted at 83 airports, land borders and seaports. Choose your country for the rule, the price and how long you can stay.
Countries with visa-free entry (2026)
These passports can enter Vietnam without a visa for a limited stay. The exemption can't be extended from inside the country, so travellers staying longer arrive on a 90-day e-visa instead.
